Last and final part to the baby shower projects and I saved the best for last, the gift! (In case you missed Part 1, Part 2 or Part 3…) Of course I couldn’t make all these cute projects for the baby shower and not make something fabulous for my gift! I went with my friend when she registered for the shower and she was able to scan most of the items she was looking for but was unable to find a cute lamp. We were talking about how the lamp didn’t even need to be ‘baby’ themed, just girly. Which is almost better anyway then she can have it in her room for longer and won’t ‘out grow’ it as fast. So I made a little trip to Value Village to see if I could find anything that might work.
Jackpot! I loved the shape of the bottom of this lamp as well as the shade. I envisioned white and pink and crystals to make this into the pretty, girly lamp I was looking for.
A little spray paint, a new lamp shade (the one that was on the original lamp was cracked on the inside and couldn’t be re-used) recovered in a pretty fabric and some pretty hanging lamp crystals and it turned into a beautiful little lamp perfect for a little girl’s room!
The final result! So happy with how it turned out!
